This policy is published by SimpleAF LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company run by one person ("SimpleAF", "I", "me"). It covers the SimpleAF Assistant, a personal AI assistant that helps find, compare, and contact local service professionals, and it also covers this website, simpleaf.co. "You" means the person using the assistant.
The assistant is a personal, limited-use tool. It runs on a computer I control. It is not a public app store product, and it is not a marketplace.
These are the details of the job you want done: what the work is, the general area where it's needed, timing, budget if you give one, and any notes or photos you choose to include.
This is information about the businesses that might do the job: business name, contact details, service area, ratings, reviews, and license information. It comes from the provider's public listings or from a connected platform such as Thumbtack. The assistant also keeps a copy of any quotes and messages exchanged about your job.
If you connect a third-party account, the assistant stores the access token that service issues. It never sees or stores your password for that service.
Job requests, provider contact information, message history, and access tokens are stored locally on my machine only. They are not uploaded to a SimpleAF server or cloud database, because none exists. The machine is protected with full-disk encryption and a login password.
To do its job, the assistant has to send some information to other services. It sends only the minimum that step needs:
The assistant can connect to third-party services on your behalf, such as Thumbtack's Partner API. Connections always use the service's own OAuth authorization screen: you sign in with that service directly and approve the specific permissions requested.
The assistant may research providers and draft messages on its own. It does not send a request, message, or your contact details to a service pro until you have reviewed and approved that specific message. Nothing is sent automatically in bulk, and there's no background outreach.
I never sell, rent, or trade your information. I don't share it with advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else for marketing. Information leaves my machine in only three cases:
If you're a service professional, your business contact details are used only to contact you about a specific job the user asked about. They are never added to a mailing list or shared with other businesses. You can ask me to delete your details at any time.
Job records are kept while they're useful, for example to follow up with a pro or rehire someone. After that they're deleted, or sooner if you ask. Access tokens are deleted as soon as you disconnect the account.
You can ask to see the information the assistant holds about you, and you can ask me to correct it or delete it. You can also revoke any connected account at any time. I'll act on a request within 30 days, and usually much sooner.
simpleaf.co uses no cookies, analytics, trackers, or third-party scripts. The hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested, for security and reliability. Those logs aren't used to identify you.
The assistant is not intended for anyone under 18, and I don't knowingly collect information from children.
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date. Significant changes will be communicated to active users before they take effect.
